This paragraph provides an overview of how notes function, the timing for adding them to a reservation, and where to locate a report on them.
When a reservation has a note attached, the chat bubble will be filled in black; it will be white if no note is present on the reservation. Click on the chat bubble or hover over it to read the notes.
To manually add a note to a reservation, click on the chat bubble in the top corner of the reservation
SyncNbook offers 3 types of notes that all have their different role.
Guest notes
This is a note on a reservation level, this note will only be saved on the reservation that it is attached to.
This note will appear when a guest makes a reservation through the booking engine and does add a note to the "Special Request" field.
Notes from OTA channels also appear as guest notes.
Report: Booking report shows guest notes when the report is exported to excel.
Hotel notes
This is a note on a guest level, this note will be saved as a note on the customer profile of the guest and will show up as a note on all the future reservations for that customer.
This note can be added on a reservation manually by clicking on the chat bubble, by adding it on when the customer is created in the reservation process or by adding it to an existing customer.
Report: Booking report shows guest notes when the report is exported to excel.
Housekeeping notes
This is a note on a reservation level, this note will only be saved on the reservation that it is attached to.
This note can be added on a reservation manually by clicking on the chat bubble and when a guest is making a reservation through the booking engine and chooses a bed preference.
Report: Housekeeping Report will show all housekeeping notes.
